Our Commitment to Donor Privacy

The Indigo Phoenix Foundation, Inc. is committed to protecting the privacy of our donors. This policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect donor information.

We will not sell, share, or trade our donors' names, contact information, or giving history with any other organization. Donor information is held in strict confidence and used solely for the following purposes:

Processing your donation through our secure platform (Zeffy)
Providing tax acknowledgment letters for qualifying gifts
Communicating with you about Foundation programs and impact, if you have opted in
Complying with applicable legal and IRS reporting requirements

Anonymous Donations

Donors who wish to remain anonymous may request anonymity at the time of donation. The Foundation will honor all anonymity requests in public communications, reports, and donor recognition materials.

Donor Recognition

We may recognize donors publicly — on our website, in our newsletter, or in annual reports — by name and general giving level. If you do not wish to be publicly recognized, please notify us at info@theindigophoenixfoundation.org and we will honor your preference immediately.

Tax Deductibility

The Indigo Phoenix Foundation, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Donors will receive written acknowledgment for all gifts of $250 or more as required by the IRS. The Foundation's Federal Tax ID (EIN) is available upon request.

Separation from The Indigo Phoenix® LLC

The Indigo Phoenix Foundation, Inc. is a legally separate and independent entity from The Indigo Phoenix® LLC. This distinction is fundamental and non-negotiable.

The two organizations share a founder — Dr. Cameo Scott, DVM — and a brand identity, but they are governed, financed, and operated independently:

The Indigo Phoenix Foundation, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. It is governed by a Board of Directors, accountable to the IRS and the State of Florida, and operates exclusively for charitable purposes. Donations to the Foundation are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

The Indigo Phoenix® LLC is a for-profit limited liability company. It sells commercial products, books, digital content, and services. It is not a charitable organization. Purchases from the LLC are not tax-deductible donations.

Donor funds are used exclusively for Foundation programs and operations. No donation funds are transferred to, commingled with, or used by The Indigo Phoenix® LLC or any for-profit entity. This separation is maintained in strict accordance with IRS requirements governing 501(c)(3) organizations.

If you have donated to the Foundation and received a product or service from the LLC in connection with your donation, the value of any goods or services received reduces the tax-deductible portion of your gift. The Foundation will communicate this clearly in any donor acknowledgment letters where applicable.
