The Indigo Phoenix Foundation, Inc. ("the Foundation," "we," "us," or "our") is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Palm Coast, Florida. Our mission is to reduce and prevent animal cruelty and homelessness in communities by providing small animal pet education to the public and access to various community centered programs as they are created.

2. Use of This Website

3. Relationship to The Indigo Phoenix® LLC — Important Distinction

The Indigo Phoenix Foundation, Inc. and The Indigo Phoenix® LLC are two separate and legally distinct entities. They share a founder, Dr. Cameo Scott, DVM, and a brand identity, but they are independently operated, separately governed, and financially distinct.

The Indigo Phoenix Foundation, Inc. (this website — theindigophoenixfoundation.org):

  • A registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization

  • Governed by a Board of Directors

  • Funded through donations, grants, and program revenue

  • Accountable to the IRS, the State of Florida, and the public under nonprofit law

  • All funds used exclusively for charitable mission and programs

The Indigo Phoenix® LLC (theindigophoenix.com):

  • A for-profit limited liability company

  • Offers commercial products, digital content, books, courses, and services

  • Operates under separate terms, policies, and governing law

  • Not a charitable organization — purchases do not constitute tax-deductible donations

Donations made through this Foundation website are made to The Indigo Phoenix Foundation, Inc. only and are not payments to or for the benefit of The Indigo Phoenix® LLC. Conversely, purchases made through The Indigo Phoenix® LLC website are commercial transactions and are not charitable contributions, unless a specific portion is explicitly designated and documented as a Foundation donation.

Any confusion between the two entities should be directed to info@theindigophoenixfoundation.org. We are committed to transparency about this distinction in all communications.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, graphics, logos, and program materials — is the property of The Indigo Phoenix Foundation, Inc. or its content providers and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

The Indigo Phoenix® is a registered trademark. The Indigo Phoenix Foundation name and logo may not be used without written permission from the Foundation.

You may share links to our content and reference our programs for educational or advocacy purposes with appropriate attribution.

5. Donations

All donations to The Indigo Phoenix Foundation, Inc. are processed through Zeffy, our secure third-party donation platform. Donations are voluntary and non-refundable unless made in error, in which case please contact us within 5 business days at info@theindigophoenixfoundation.org.

The Indigo Phoenix Foundation, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. The Foundation's Federal Tax ID (EIN) is available upon request. Donor acknowledgment letters for gifts of $250 or more will be provided as required by the IRS.

Donations are used to fund the Foundation's programs and operations in accordance with our mission. No donation funds are transferred to or used by The Indigo Phoenix® LLC or any for-profit entity.

6. Volunteer and Foster Applications

By submitting a volunteer or foster application through this website, you agree that:

  • The information you provide is accurate and complete

  • You are at least 18 years of age, or have parental or guardian consent

  • Acceptance of your application is at the Foundation's sole discretion

  • Participation as a volunteer or foster is subject to a separate agreement and any applicable screening processes

The Foundation reserves the right to accept or decline any application without obligation to provide a reason.
